Our Artificial Green & Hall Rental Information
Artificial Green
The Dakota Lawn Bowling Centre includes the outdoor artificial lawn bowling green owned and operated by Bowls Manitoba Inc. The green was most recently replaced in late 2023, so it is in great shape! The green may be accessed by all members of lawn bowling clubs in Manitoba, and is used regularly for individual and team practice, league play, coaching, umpire clinics, and tournaments. The green is also available for rentals.
If you are a member interested in accessing the artificial green, please contact Barb Heinrichs at 204-254-4555 & leave a message if there is no immediate answer.
Non-members wishing to rent the green for an event are asked to contact the Bowls Manitoba office at bowls@shawbiz.ca

Hall Rentals

Our modern, air-conditioned clubhouse at 1212 Dakota Street can accommodate 90 to 100 people, and may be used for all types of gatherings: birthday parties, bridal showers, weddings and wedding receptions, anniversaries, family reunions, family dinners, retirement parties, club and sorority meetings, church services, and other celebrations or social functions. We share a large parking lot with the Dakota Community Centre/ Jonathan Toews Sportsplex.
The MBLL has approved the building for Occasional Permits, and a major advantage over many other rental halls is that you may choose your own caterer. We can also recommend one, should you wish. Included in your rental is use of the up-to-date kitchen and bar, plus enough tables, chairs, glassware, dishes and cutlery to serve a capacity crowd.
Our exterior carpeted lawn-bowling green is also available for rental, should you wish to hold a company or family lawn bowling tournament. Bowling equipment is available for up to 48 bowlers.
